What do you love most about radio?
I love that I can be my authentic self, express myself in real time with an engaged audience and receive instant feedback. Radio pushes my creativity levels to the ultimate level on a daily basis.
How long have you been on radio?
2 and a half years including 5FM. My radio journey began on SAFM in 2018 doing sport on the weekend breakfast show (‘Jet Set Breakfast’ with Michelle Constant).
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I love going to eat at different restaurants, helps me suss out the competition while eating great food! LOL.
What knowledge do you love imparting onto your listeners?
Definitely sporting knowledge! From learning about different sporting codes to discussing the ever-changing intricacies of different disciplines... sport is the much-needed relief from all the hectic stuff happening in the world.
What daily motivation do you believe contributes to your success over the airwaves daily?
You cannot win if you don't show up. It doesn't matter how tired and unmotivated you feel, if you just show up, you're halfway to the win.
What has been your favourite moment on radio, any campaign you can share and why did you love it so much, what did you enjoy most about working with said brand?
Favourite moment so far on 5FM was the manner in which we celebrated long distance runner Gerda Steyn after she shattered the 25-year SA Marathon record by more than a minute. We paid tribute to a great athlete by showing how difficult the feat was and why she should be lauded. I'm enjoying our Suzuki campaign at the moment... for obvious reasons. It feels really great to be able to drive around in an amazing car!
