5 Breakfast’s Dan Corder speaks with Valerie, a 26 year old Ukrainian who is currently sheltering in her apartment in Kyiv while Russia bombs the city.
Valerie is a 26-year-old self-proclaimed digital nomad. Just 2 week ago, she returned to her home city of Kyiv after living all over Europe for the past few years. She never expected that 10 days later, she would be sheltering in the basement of her apartment while Russia troops stormed the city.
Valerie explains what it feels like to be so young while experiencing an invasion the likes of which we haven’t seen since WWII.
