Johannesburg, Tuesday, 18 November 2025 – 5FM is turning up the heat this festive season and brining the party to hotspots across Mzansi with Endless Summer - a pumping celebration designed to take some of the hottest events throughout the nation, Ampli5 them with live broadcasts, banging tunes, tons of energy, awesome prizes and ticket giveaways, and making this a summer you will never forget.
After a cracking year where increasingly more listeners are joining the 5 Nation, and loads of massive, exciting partnerships, SA’s favourite youth radio station is celebrating with a full-scale summer takeover stretching from December to February, combining the raddest on-air content with sizzling festival and party experiences that are 2nd to none.
Endless Summer will see 5FM bringing the heat to crowd favourite spots in Pretoria, Plettenberg Bay, Knysna, Stanford Hills, Cape Town and Swellendam.
The season kicks off on 7 December with Silver Linings Festival in Pretoria, a sun-drenched day packed with food stalls, local vendors and a standout lineup featuring MiCasa, Lady Zamar, DJ Zinhle, the Saxby Twins and Early B. From there, the station hits the coastline for the Dreaming Out Loud music tour, running from 27 to 30 December through towns that include Plettenberg Bay, Knysna and Stanford Hills. The tour is known for its amazing, inclusive, family-friendly environment. With a crowd spanning from teens to young adults and families, it offers a fresh, safe and celebratory space for fans to connect with music, and with 5FM and Vibe Check’s Boipelo Mooketsi in the house, expect it to be even bigger.
On 31 December, 5FM lands in Cape Town for Secrets of Summer NYE – the Mother City’s favourite New Year’s celebration. If you want to say goodbye to 2025 in style and start the new year on the right note to kick some serious butt in 2026, then Black River Park Sports Field in Observatory is the place to be. Expect a rocking party in the company of 5 Nights with Karabo Ntshweng, Goodluck, Musa Keys, Timo ODV, Will Linley, Da Capo, and many others.
The summer stretch continues into the new year with Up The Creek from 5 to 8 February 2026 in Swellendam. As one of South Africa’s longest-running outdoor festivals, set against the beautiful Breede River, Up The Creek offers more than 50 bands across four stages and a truly iconic festival atmosphere. Acts include Jeremy Loops, Spoegwolf, Ryan Harris, Ross Learmonth, Droomsindroom, Rubber Duc and a LOAD more.
Throughout Endless Summer, listeners can stay tuned for exclusive event info, some epic interviews and loads of chances to win tickets to these events, as well as VIP experiences.
